Lonely puppet maker Geppetto decides to make a puppet boy and goes in search of just the right piece of wood. When the puppet magically comes to life, Geppetto thinks his world is complete - until the puppet, whom he names Pinocchio, becomes the naughtiest boy in the whole town. Pinocchio is soon in trouble with the local police and a visit from the Blue-Haired Fairy forces the little puppet to reveal that he wishes that he was a real boy. Only once he has learned to love, the Fairy explains, will Pinocchio become real...
