Synopsis / Notes

A bittersweet, often comic adventure whose musical roots transport us back to the Bluegrass-tinged Appalachian Mountains of the 1960s.

Deep in Virginia 's coal country, six teenagers struggle to come to terms with the loss of their fathers -- killed in a devastating mining accident a decade earlier. A journey to the Burnt Part of the mountain and the long-shuttered mine changes each of the young lives and transforms the landscape around them.
