Here are some questions and answers relating to the site and the shows that appear on it.

How do I get my musical onto your website? And how much is it going to cost me?!

You can upload the details of your musical via the website. Follow the link on the musicals page, under the 'Latest Additions' section. Or alternatively, you can email us the details to shows@21stcenturymusicals.com. This is also the address to use if you need to email us photos, audio/video files or other images.

It won't cost you anything to have a standard page for your show on the website, which can include all the details, links and images you like - and of course we'll have a biography page for the writers, composer, cast etc. as well. If you want us to have audio and video files of your show on the site also, that's fine - but there is a small charge to cover the extra costs of hosting involved (see below).

Can I put audio and video clips on my show's page?

Yes - although we have to make a small charge to cover the costs of the extra storage space needed to host audio and/or video files. This is only approx £10.00/$15.00 for the year.

Our musical was written and produced in 1995. Can I still have it on your site?

Not really. The 'rule-of-thumb' for a Musical to be included on the site is that it must not have been produced BEFORE the year 2000. This isn't about 'excluding' work from the site, but without some sort of limit we would have to include every show ever written!

If a show has had workshops or readings before 2000, but is yet to have a full production or the full production began after 1999, then that is probably fine. Of course, we will look at each case individually - and rules are there to be broken (or at least bent!)

My show hasn't been produced yet - is it too premature to put it on the site?

Not at all! Of the shows featured on the site, some have had a full West End or Broadway production, some have had smaller productions elsewhere, some have had only 'readings' or 'workshops' and others have had no production or recording at all. The site is designed to promote ALL new, post-2000 musicals, at whatever stage of production. Also, each individual show's page on the site can change and grow as more production credits become available or applicable to that show.

I already have a website for the musical I have written, why should I want my show on 21st Century Musicals?

The 21st Century Musicals website isn't intended to replace individual show websites. Each creative team has its own ideas for the set-up, design and promotion of it's own show. We hope that the 21st Century Musicals site is a resource for people to find out more about a wide number of shows, and also have a place to encourage contact both between the creators of the shows, and for other interested parties.

As more people learn about the site, it becomes the place where people look for news and details about any writers or new shows which are happening now or in the past few years.
