Stuart Marland
Stuart is the author of the play The Escape of Alexei, based on the murder of Russia's last tsar, Nicholas II and his family. He spent much of 2002 working with Russian scientists and family members both in the USA and in Russia to research and develop this project. Originally from La Jolla, California, he majored in Theater Arts at UCLA's School of Theater, Motion Pictures and Television.
As an actor, he performed the role of 'Roger DeBris' in the national touring company of The Producers. On Broadway, three years as 'General Lord Glossop' in Jekyll & Hyde. At Radio City Music Hall, The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber (under the direction of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, starring Sarah Brightman) Other national tours include Seussical - The Musical (Gen. Genghis Kahn Schmitz), Ragtime, The Who's Tommy, A Chorus Line, Sophisticated Ladies (with Mercer Ellington and Harold Nicholas) and The King and I with Rudolf Nureyev.
